The seventh edition of the Marseille Web Fest, international festival of the digital series, was held from 19 to 21 October in Marseille (Théâtre Joliette).

RESULTS
– 21 international series in competition
– A selection of five 100% French series in partnership with Web Series Mag and SACD
– 13 nationalities represented
– An international jury chaired by Jamie Bamber
– 12 awards
– 3 days of round tables, master classes, keynotes, meetings and exchanges

PALMARES
At the end of the 7th edition of the Marseille Web Fest, the jury – chaired by Jamie Bamber – unveiled the winners at the closing ceremony. Eight prizes to reward the 21 series in competition including CONFESS, the Israeli series of Moshe Rosenthal who won the Grand Jury Prize 2017.

In addition, Premiere Magazine’s “Coup de Cœur” Award was handed to BRUCE, an australian series as well as a special Argentinean Prize – a country in the spotlight at the 7th edition – to YES I DO, a french series which is invited to participate in the official selection at the Buenos Aires Web Fest.

As part of the REGARD SUR LA PRODUCTION FRANCAISE selection, 2 prizes were also handed:
– SACD rewarded the BEARD CLUB series with an endowment of € 2,000
– A special prize Rio Web Fest for EN CHIEN which will go to Brazil in official selection

Finally, LA THEORIE DU Y, a belgian series, obtained a special mention of the jury during the award ceremony of the Marseille Web Fest. The 50% hetero web series was hailed for its ability to take the pulse of a generation and tell a story through a very contemporary theme. A recognition to emphasize because the competition was tough.
