Schedule

The Marseille Web Fest – an international short series festival – will be held on October 15, 16 and 17, 2020.
Due to the current health context, this 10th edition will be a 100% online and completely free edition.

On the program for this online edition which will last until November 15, 2020, short-form series from around the world to discover in 3 different categories (international and French selections and a web-doc selection) as well as exceptional round tables and masterclasses followed of “Live” to exchange with the various speakers.

In addition to the online series, the Marseille Web Fest will also offer conferences and masterclasses on October 15, 16 and 17. The audience will have the opportunity to interact live with certain speakers after their broadcast.

For the first time at Marseille Web Fest, we are showcasing short form documentary as we believe it’s a rising trend we should not miss. The purpose of this panel is to explore the rapid rise of web-doc trend in the content landscape and to question how useful is short form doc for media companies and independent creators.

Greg Garcia, brilliant american screenwriter of series like “My name is Earl” or “The Guest Book” is the exceptional guest of this online masterclass. The opportunity for him to review all his successes and his job as a screenwriter … and to give answers to our little questions.

Australia: eldorado of short series?
Australia is not only conducive to the production of digital series but also to the emergence of new talents. Are there public or private grants to support young creators? What are these new funding environments and incentives for digital platforms? A few flagship projects bear witness to this.

4:00 p.m. – Masterclass avec Rob Edwards
Rob Edwards is an American television and feature film writer and producer.
A talented screenwriter, he has participated in the writing of the screenplays for two feature films for Disney studios, “The Princess and the Frog” and “The Treasure Planet” both of which were nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.
